FLPP often starts with a Call for Ideas published on ESA’s Open Space Innovation Platform (OSIP).
You can:
- Share an early-stage idea
- Receive structured feedback from ESA
- Be considered for future pitch events
- Help shape upcoming calls for proposals
Participation in OSIP is open to all and does not commit you to the next stage.
Submit a full proposal for funding and technical support.
Selected topics from Stage 1 move into formal Invitations to Tender (ITTs) on esa-star.
These are open to all participants from ESA Member States, regardless of OSIP involvement.
Successful applicants receive:
- Equity-free contracts
- Technical support from ESA
- A year-long development timeline
- Follow-up opportunities after the project
